The top 10 books I have read [that you probably haven't]
1. Tales of the Kingdom, Tales of the Resistance, and Tales of the Restoration: David and Karen Mains
My favorite books in the whole world. If I had to do a lecture on books that changed my life, these allegories about the kingdom of God would be what I chose.
2. The Missing Piece and The Missing Piece Meets the Big O: Shel Silverstein
Sorry to pick another set of kid’s books, but honestly, these are awesome allegories about life and love.
3. Searching for God Knows What: Donald Miller
The Bible is a love story!
4. Don’t Waste Your Life: John Piper
Passion unleashed!
5. Habakkuk
Often overlooked but oh-so-relevant.
6. Let Me be a Woman: Elizabeth Elliot
Each chapter is just packed with so much wisdom.
7. Praise Habit: David Crowder
Yes, his amazing writing extends to more than just lyrics. Another author who tells stories to the glory of God.
8. A Grief Observed and Til We Have Faces: C.S. Lewis
These are completely unrelated except for the fact that they are lesser-known gems by the master. Til We Have Faces is the greatest piece of writing I have ever read. A Grief Observed is brutally and beautifully honest.
9. The Golden Booklet of the True Christian Life: John Calvin
So much life-filled truth in 96 tiny pages!
10. The Case and Cure of a Deserted Soul: Joseph Symonds
Just a sampling of the undiscovered treasures of the Puritans.
